Facebook is looking for a new CFO with “public company experience”
Several outlets are reporting that Gideon Yu, Facebook’s chief financial officer (CFO), is leaving the company. Read more about the developing details at the WSJ and Mashable.
For those who are not familiar, Yu joined Facebook in 2007 and prior to that he was YouTube’s CFO.
Ever since Yu joined Facebook there have been murmurs regarding the possibility of an initial public offering (IPO) for the social networking company, which were quickly squashed by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, back in July of 2007.
But with Yu’s departure comes an interesting twist… Facebook says it is actively seeking a CFO with “public company experience.” Could the IPO rumors be surfacing again?
More information to come as it becomes available.
